Campus Director, Parker Campus

Amanda is a Chicago Public Schools graduate and a native of the north side of the city. As the daughter of immigrants and a first-generation college student, she sees tremendous power in education as a lever for change. Hoping to combine her passion for social justice and commitment to educational equity, she joined Teach For America after graduation. Upon identifying obstacles that her students faced in obtaining their education – poverty, violence, and trauma, among other things – Amanda pursued a Master’s degree in social work. Since her return back home to Chicago, Amanda has served students and families on the south and west sides as a teacher leader and school board member.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration.
