With a focus on select Latin School &amp; High Jump alumni, the piece provides an overview of High Jump\u2019s history and the diverse, surprising experiences that its alumni have had through the years. Of the over 2,000 students educated through High Jump, 141 have attended Latin. In fact, High Jump began in 1989 \u201cas a joint venture between Latin and Parker, with Latin serving as the host school.\u201d That first year, just 16 students were part of the program; today, more than 400 students are educated every year across three Chicago high school campuses. High Jump co-founder Eleanor Nicholson, a former upper school director at Latin, is thrilled with the progress and legacy of the program she helped create. \u201cThere are days that I just pinch myself. Who would have thought? It\u2019s been a terrifically satisfying ride,\u201d she says.
