Career Show & Tell
Location: The Latin School of Chicago, Francis W. Parker School and the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools
Time commitment: 3 hours
For High Jump’s annual Career Show & Tell, volunteers are asked to share their career and educational experiences with our seventh and eighth graders.
High Jump students have big dreams, and the purpose of this event is to help them articulate those dreams, whether it’s to become a neurosurgeon, a chemical engineer or a civil rights attorney. The purpose of these presentations is to inform the students of different careers they can pursue and inspire them to excel in these fields.
We are seeking volunteers to present at each of our three campuses. Volunteers will give four short presentations to groups of 15 students, and each presentation is 15 minutes long. We highly encourage the use of visuals to better engage and interact with the students.
Please contact us for specific volunteer dates and times.
