High Jump Alumnus and Board of Directors Member in The Executives’ Club of Chicago Member Spotlight

Featured by The Executives’ Club of Chicago in their Member Spotlight, John Akalaonu is Senior Vice President, Customer Delivery of CDK Global. He is also an active member of our Board of Directors and an alumnus of High Jump (Cohort 4). Born and raised in Chicago, John attended high school at Culver Academies following his High Jump experience. He then went on to pursue degrees at Purdue and Indiana Wesleyan University. Beginning his career as a US Marine, where he served on active duty as an officer, provided John with a foundation for his leadership and business approach.

John reminds us how important it is for leaders to acknowledge the successes of their team members when times are tough, strategies to adapt to new companies and positions when making a professional transition and the value in creating your own sense of normal while working remotely. – The Executives’ Club of Chicago
